Basis of the edition

The present edition is based on the photographs available at the Mainzer Photoarchiv of the Hethitologie Portal Mainz, as well as the available hand-copies and relevant secondary literature up to 2019. When the original manuscripts have been collated, this is noted in the commentary.

Commentary

Previous editions: Hazenbos 2003: 88-90.

Collated (March 2020). This fragment is written in a tiny cursive script, similar to that of KBo 26.151 and KBo 49.111 (q.v.). As in KBo 26.151, the lines of the script tend to raise from left to right. However, a join with KBo 26.151 is ruled out by the different width of the intercolumnium (12 mm in KBo 13.250, 7 mm in KBo 26.151, both faces).

l. col. 5′: Note the pithos “of wheat and wine,” cf. the two pithoi for wheat and wine of KBo 49.310 rev. 6′ (with commentary) and KUB 21.17 rev. iii 9′-17′, discussed in Cammarosano 2018: 134.

r. col. 13′: The sign may be taken as ZÉ, but a restoration zenaš seems unlikely in view of the mention of this festival in the following line.
